about

The poem 'Paper Rounds' was written in May of 2015.
It was set to music in a non-repetitive compositional style.

lyrics

The Fragility of life is evident in the translucent wings of a butterfly,
Reap foresight o' child and mourn the born.
Be susceptible to indifference.
And welcome the riches of the new tide with gusto.
Does ideology strengthen feebleness?
For I the plastic Catholic observe within the fold.
Sweet fragility where lies your tipping point?
As a stolen thought weights heavy on your mind.
Hindsight begins excavating between the avenues of regret, relief and resuscitation. Linger.
Forget knives and artillery. Sharpen pencil and wit.
Hair posture nor handshake maketh the man.
Masculinity is bore of paper-rounds.
